SUNRISE, SUNSET

Sunset at Laguna Feb 2013

S.

The 19th letter of the English alphabet.

From the Greek sigma.

A borrowing from the Phoenicians.

Think they might want it back some day?

And Sigma is the name of the 18th letter of the Greek alphabet.

According to trusty Webster.

Makes my head Spin.

S.

September.

Around the Square.

 The “S” word.

A game to play when you’re feeling Silly.

Or not.

After playing, you’ll Soon wonder why you agreed to in the first place.

Or was that Second place?

Amazing how many words Start with S.

So, So many.

(Spellcheck Snarls at all these capital S’s.)

S is a good tile to have when playing Scrabble.

Add it to a long word and Score big.

If you know Mason, you know the S-curve.

If you live in the country, watch out for Snakes.

Scorpions.

And other Scutellate critters.

S.

A letter for all Seasons.

For Streets.

Stock tanks.

And Salsa.

For Saturday.

And Sunday.

Saints.

Songs.

Supper.

Sitting on the porch.

Snacking.

Sleeping.

Snoring.

Smiling.

S.

It’s Special.

Swings in the wind.

Saunters down the road.

Sneaks another piece of pie.

Slips away.

Simple pleasures.

Sunny days.

Silence.

Shhhh.

That’s September Settling in.

That’s Mason.
