Changes

Downtown Mason 5 o'clock on FridayO the signs they are a changin.’

From real estate to ribs.

From Grosse Hardware to…(stay tuned).

All is change.

Change is good.

Everything changes.

Texas Deadwood BBQ has left the building.

Well, almost.

The little building, that is.

And is moving next door into the big building.

So now you can have your brisket and eat it there too.

Change.

Change a tire.

Change your shirt.

Change jobs.

Change your mind.

Some resist change.

Beware.

They say what you resist persists.

Some of us fear it.

Dread it.

Try to avoid it.

“To every thing there is a season,

and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose;

a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew;

a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate;

a time of war, and a time of peace…”[Ecclesiastes 3]

It’s natural to change.

Nature changes.

Just look at the weather.

Names change.

Voices change.

Sometimes even opinions change.

And beliefs.

Change can make all the difference in the world.

A change of heart.

A change of pace.

A change of plans.

Got any spare change?

That’s Mason.
